The Aspen at Currents of Windermere is a six-storey residential building where NorthEdge Flooring completed the full flooring scope across all common areas and suites. The project covered over 61,000 sq ft and involved multiple flooring systems selected to meet the specific demands of each space.
From individual suites to shared corridors and utility rooms, every area received the material and installation method suited to its use — with acoustic performance, durability, and a clean finish as the guiding priorities throughout.
Each space in the building called for a different approach. Suites were fitted with floating luxury vinyl plank over cork underlayment for sound reduction between floors — an important consideration in multi-unit construction. Corridor and stairwell areas received carpet tile with carpet baseboard, chosen for their durability and ease of maintenance in high-traffic zones. Bathrooms were finished with rubber baseboard, and utility rooms were handled with glue-down vinyl.
Work was carried out in phases, coordinated with the broader construction schedule and multiple active trades on site. Staying on timeline in that environment required consistent communication and the ability to adapt quickly — something that comes with experience on projects of this scale.
